Overview

This course will provide knowledge and skills for the day-to-day supervision and team leading of staff. It includes examples and case studies that participants can adapt back in their own workplace.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the role of the supervisor/team leader in the company or organisation
  • Describe how to use improved communication to improve the responsiveness of team members
  • Explain the principles of motivation and how to apply them to assist the motivation of team members
  • Explain how to develop the section as a team
  • Explain how to counsel and discipline difficult workers
  • Explain how to communicate with section employees to ensure co-operation and team work
  • Report and respond to managers
  • Be a role model and establish high standards of performance
  • Allocate responsibilities to individuals and teams positively
  • Make informed decisions

Award

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.
