Not-for-Profit Workshop: Effective Feasibility Reports, Business Case Development and Funding Applications

 

Overview

This workshop will provide knowledge, skills and resources to Community Services Sector organisations who are progressively transitioning to a more market-based, competitive and complex new sector.  It will provide skills and information that will improve the development of credible business case reports and funding applications, assessing and establishing new services, evaluating social enterprise opportunities and general improvements. The presenter has many years' experience in consulting, training, business cases and grant applications in the Community Services Sector.

Methods of acquiring the skills include: Workshop notes, group workshop, video, practical exercises, case studies.

Participants will be provided with relevant and usable resources and information to be able to turn information and ideas into action.

 

Who this Workshop is for

CEOs and senior staff, business development managers, finance managers and others who have a role in establishing and managing a Community Services Sector organisation.

  • Data and other information for developing business cases and funding applications
  • Identifying appropriate services and other opportunities for a Community Services organisation

  • Business case development and presentation
  • Presenting data and other support material for funding applications

Participant will gain an understanding of, and skills in:

  • Assessing and improving their organisation/program business model
  • Identifying opportunities that 'fit' the organisation's business model
  • Preparing an initial feasibility report
  • Collecting and preparing information for grants and business plans generally
  • Researching and developing a business case
  • Writing the business case
  • Presenting the business case

Organisations who send participants will be provided with resources to assist them evaluate and develop their business model and business case.

 

Award

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the workshop.
