This program provides the skills required to manage all aspects of the recruitment, selection and induction processes in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and the potential legal consequences in the new world of employment.


Who should attend

Any staff member, including human resources personnel, involved in the recruitment, interviewing and selection of new staff for the organisation.



  • Develop, analyse and assess current employment practices and policies
  • Job descriptions, selection criteria and workforce planning
  • The many stages of recruitment and the critical procedures and templates
  • Statutory requirements of recruitment and selection, including induction
  • The purpose of the interview as well as behavoural event interviewing (BEI)
  • The importance of induction and onboarding.

Learning Outcomes

On completion, participants should be able to:

  • Gain a better knowledge of appropriate recruitment and selection policy and procedures in the changing world.
  • Develop skills and competency in the interviewing and selection process
  • Obtain the capacity to understand all the steps and protocols essential in the modern workplace with recruitment for both internal and external candidates
  • Understand the complexity of the job offer process and all the significant legal and cultural considerations


A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the program.
