Influencing and persuasion are key skills everyone needs in today's work environment. Whether you are communicating with peers, customers, team members, your manager or others, you need to be able to present your thoughts and ideas in an effective, persuasive manner. Learning how to effectively influence others in the workplace can be extremely beneficial.

 

Who this course is for

Anyone who wants to become more confident in influencing and persuading others will benefit from attending this course. Note: This course is focussed more on one-on-one techniques rather than group presentation techniques.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the key theories of influence and persuasion
  • Communicate in a more persuasive manner with colleagues and individuals from outside your organisation
  • Apply communication techniques to improve the capacity to influence
  • Become a more active listener and use enhanced persuasion skills to act as an opinion shaper
  • Understand different persuasion techniques
  • Apply principles of influence to your day-to-day communication
  • Identify your own preferred influencing style and use it to encourage others to change
  • Use positive influence more effectively
  • Communicate more effectively with different personalities
