Introduction to Performance Management

Overview

The aim of this course is to enable participants to assist in the effective implementation of a performance management system.

 

Who this course is for

Human resource officers or people in similar roles, or those persons wishing to enter a human resources role.

 

Course Content

  • Review system infrastructure, such as position descriptions, performance appraisal documentation, KPIs and procedures
  • Review system implementation
  • Identify trends, opportunities for improvement in the system and its implementation

 

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Ensure all positions have up-to-date job descriptions
  • Ensure performance appraisals are scheduled
  • Collate and understand performance management data
  • Ensure that poor or substandard performance is managed
  • Provide guidance and support when disagreements over performance appraisals emerge

Award

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.
