Manage Employee Relations



This course applies to staff who have a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resources management and employee relations. It includes strategic planning and policy development for employee relations as well as negotiations, conflict management and dispute resolution.

Human resources staff, managers or supervisors with the responsiblity for managing employee relations or staff needing to extend their formal training in this area.

  • Managing grievances, conflict, disputes and negotiations


Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary employee relations issues and legislation
  • Document strategies and procedures for dealing with grievances and disputes
  • Apply conflict resolution techniques
  • Train and assist other staff on the nuances of IR in a changing market environment
  • Appreciate the roles of all the stakeholders within the IR framework
