The recruiting and selecting staff course is a unit of competency in the Diploma of Human Resources Management and Diploma of Management. The course is designed for recruitment or human resources staff, managers, team leaders and anyone involved in the recruitment and selection of employees. The course is aimed at taking participants through a step by step structured approach to the recruitment and selection process.Staffing an organisation is fundamental to meeting the workforce requirements in a way that ensures the goals and objectives are reached in a cost effective way.

The sustainability of an organisation reflects the continuing supply of competent labour that matches organisational needs. Human resources practitioners need strong skills in this area to train and influence management in the skill of selecting the best staff.The interview step is only one component of the selection process. All steps involved are discussed and explored. Participants are provided the opportunity to practice techniques as well as learn about the impact on the interviewee and the interviewer.

Award

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course. A Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment will be issued to those who successfully complete the workplace based project as part of the Diploma of Management or Diploma of Human Resources Management.
